MetLife is a nationwide provider of dental plans for both individuals and families. When you pay your monthly premium, you gain access to affordable dental visits. Once you meet your deductible, they will cover a portion of the costs of your treatment. Every plan works a little bit differently, but here is what you can expect to save for most of them:
- 100% on preventive services. This includes cleanings, checkups, and routine X-rays.
- 80% on minor restorative procedures. This includes dental fillings.
- 50% on major restorative services. This includes dental crowns and dentures.
MetLife focuses on preventive care. By seeing your dentist twice a year for cleanings and checkups, you can prevent issues from occurring. However, despite your best efforts, if a problem does arise, you can use your annual allowance to offset the cost of necessary restorative procedures.
Keep in mind that at the end of the calendar year, your benefits expire and will not carry over into next year, so it is in your best interest to utilize your coverage to keep your oral health in excellent shape.
